A phenomenological description on K → ππγ magnetic transitions ∗

چکیده
A phenomenological analysis of K → ππγ (KL → ππγ and K → ππγ) with the direct emission photon is carried out beyond the leading order in the chiral perturbation theory. We show that the experimental evidence for the large photon energy dependence of the magnetic amplitude in KL → ππγ seems to indicate an interesting consequence: vector meson dominance must be implemented at O(p), which is not a general feature of the chiral perturbation theory. The phenomenology of K → ππγ is also analyzed using the same scheme.

متن کاملSupersymmetric contributions to direct CP violation in K → ππγ decays ∗
We analyze the supersymmetric contributions to direct–CP –violating ob-servables in K → ππγ decays induced by gluino–mediated magnetic–penguin operators. We find that ǫ ′ +−γ and the differential width asymmetry of K ± → π ± π 0 γ decays could be substantially enhanced with respect to their Standard Model values, especially in the scenario where ǫ ′ /ǫ is dominated by super-symmetric contributi...
متن کامل1 / 2 Enhancement and CP Violation for K → ππ , K → ππγ Weak Decays
Abstract Data indicate that ∆I=3/2 transitions account for 4.5–4.7% of both CP conserving and CP violating K→2π decays, as well as CP conserving radiative K→ππγ processes. Observed K → ππγ/ππ branching ratios are shown to scale near α/π or α/2π. The KL-KS mixing angle φ and the semileptonic weak-rate asymmetry δ are reviewed, and shown to be consistent with data. Also, K→ 2π ∆I =1/2 dominance i...

متن کاملRare Kaon Decays in the 1/n C -expansion
We study the unknown coupling constants that appear at O(p 4) in the Chiral Perturbation Theory analysis of K → πγ * → πl + l − , K +− → π +− γγ [1] and K → ππγ [2] decays. To that end, we compute the chiral realization of the ∆S = 1 Hamilto-nian in the framework of the 1/N c-expansion of the low-energy action proposed in Ref. [3]. The phenomenological implications are also discussed.
